Kansas City’s own steamboat Arabia is a museum dedicated to the preservation and display of a steamboat that sank on the Missouri river. The salvage and preservation of the project was a family affair costing more than 1.4 million dollars. The only casualty of the sinking was a mule tied to the deck.
