Hallmark Cards Visitor Center
Hallmark Cards is headquartered in downtown Kansas City. Crown Center and the visitor center have been fond Christmas memories for me as long as I can remember. My favorite has always been the bow machine.
Steamboat Arabia
Kansas City’s own steamboat Arabia is a museum dedicated to the preservation and display of a steamboat that sank on the Missouri river. The salvage and preservation of the project was a family affair costing more than 1.4 million dollars. The only casualty of the sinking was a mule tied to the deck.
Grocery Store Food
We made a grocery store run. The receipt was about as big as Jenn. Suffice to say there’s alot of people at our house this Christmas.
Puzzle Time
Christmas Eve board games and puzzles.
Gingerbread Houses
Every year we make gingerbread houses with our cousins and friend’s kids.
Creche Exhibit
Each year the Palo Alto church puts together a crèche exhibit featuring over 500 nativities from around the world. I’m always in awe of the amount if coordination and decorative effort that goes into this every year.
