Rectangular Poker Chips
Jack wanted to play a game, so why not get him to do counting and colors. These little rectangular poker chips were great at getting Jack to match colors and count. Then Jack wanted to build something out of them. He thought this made for a good rectangle and door.
Harborside McCormick’s
Down by the marina is a stretch of waterfront shops and restaurants. For a special dinner, we picked McCormick’s and Schmitt’s and tried their salmon and Chilean seabass.
Chocolate Fest
Sample as much local chocolate as you can handle. Jenn found a local vendor that seeks cocoa beans which she can get whole beans from to roast and brew her own hot chocolate.
Wizard World
Portland’s comic con was going on at the same time as chocolate fest–we didn’t pay the entry fee (or dress up), but it was definitely worth getting our pictures taken with a couple of storm troopers. One of them had a mic hookup and cracked jokes during the photos–very entertaining.
