Chocolate-Dipped Biscotti
As a wedding gift, my work gave me a cool cookbook entitled “How To Cook Everything.” In return to thank them, I baked them a recipe from the book, Chocolate-Dipped Biscotti.

Since I have been taking pictures of all the rest of the apartment, I thought I should also include the bathroom. I love the cast iron mirror on the counter–I found it at a consignment store. The circular mirrored piece on the wall is also fun–TJ Maxx has done it again.
It’s nice to finally have our own kitchen. Since I have had a little bit of free time on my hands, I have been spending a decent amount of time playing in the kitchen. I do love cooking all different types of things, but on Tuesday I was in the mood for baking. I have … Continue reading After four years of college dining halls…
Decorating the apartment has been a ton of fun. I love hunting for little treasures. On Saturday when we were doing our errands I saw this cool 3-dimensional wall hanging. However, it had a hefty price tag of $199.00. Two days later, I found the exact same piece at TJ Maxx/HomeGoods for $39.99! Who would … Continue reading TJ Maxx/HomeGoods discount home decorating

These “noren” are japanese curtains which traditionally hang in doorways (they have a split … Continue reading Noren Wall Fixtures
Chubbs the surf border was made from left-over cookie dough. This particular batch was made with Ghiradelli cocoa and white chocolate chunks.
Like the two sets of identical twins Antipholus and Dromio of Shakepeare’s Comedy of Errors, Cupertino has a twin Shakespeare in the park that mirrors San Francisco’s. Bring a couple of blankets and some takeout from Castro, and you have a wonderful night. Interestingly enough Castro has a twin Castro in San Francisco as well.
It’s hard to describe the yummy-ness of Lee’s sandwiches to the uninitiated. This little Vietnamese sandwich chain has a venue by our new apartment. My favorite things to get are the BBQ pork sandwiches and mango smoothies.
