I didn’t realize how much of Truman’s policies set up the ensuing political climate in the world. We headed out to the Truman Library located in Independence, MO. In the basement they had another exhibit with Pulitzer Prize winning photos.

Most Expensive Bread

Milk Pail, a local market, carries the most expensive bread: Poilane for $27 per loaf. Apparently it’s made in France and has to be flown in; it also has specially fermented wheat that allows it to keep longer. Robert Dinero has his flown in from France. We opted for the $0.75 ciabatta.
