Christmas Day Brunch
We did a full Christmas brunch this year and prepared a feast for the occasion.
Authentic Mexican
A stone’s throw from the border you can find really good Mexican. We tried this place. They are only open for lunch and only accept cash. You know it’s going to be tasty given the army of Mexican grandmothers handmaking the tortillas.

Many of the botanical gardens within Balboa Park were in hibernation for the winter. However, they were still very picturesque.
Balboa Park
San Diego has a wonderful downtown area known as Balboa Park. It’s a large park in the heart o the downtown which houses several museums, the zoo, and a bevy of local artisans. We spent hlaf of the day walking the grounds here and enjoying the architecture.
