We were in bed when we heard shots fired outside. Peering outside we could see police officers directing traffic away and drawing weapons. About an hour later a full swat truck, Washington County TNT, arrived. For about two hours a police standoff held up traffic on all nearby streets.
One building away a man had fired shots and the police were taking no chances. A twitter stream from the police scanner informed us that a suicidal man was holed up in our same apartment complex. We could see very well armored police with automatic rifles trained on the building tens of yards away. In the end, the man was brought into custody.
