In 1922 Howard Carter uncovered one of the most unprecedented findings in Egypt. King Tutankhamen, the boy-king of Egypt, was uncovered. His mummified remains along with a treasury full of Egyptian treasures in a tomb. What made this find so special was being mostly untouched by grave robbers. This meant that the treasure room attached to King Tut’s sarcophagus was full of exquisite Egyptian handiworks and gold treasures.
